NEWS Opera Australia announces The Ring Cycle for 2016

What an excitingbutnotentirelyunexpected announcement!! Even before Neil Armfield’s 2013 production of the Ring Cycle first raised its curtains it was confirmed that the Opera Australia production would be returning to Melbourne in 2016, and again in 2019. Even so, this is a welcome announcement as it announces the cast, and confirms the dates for the 3 cycles, and perhaps more importantly the dates on which tickets will go on sale.

To summaries the information: you have 3 and a half months to save a small fortune to see the second outing of Neil Armfield’s version of the epic Ring Cycle. In that time you need to find/befriend/become a Ring leader, or alternatively you can pray to the theater gods that tickets don’t sell out before they open for the general public a month later Ha! good luck with that. Then you have an entire year to plan your pilgrimage to Melbourne and see the epic cycle, in full, and in the flesh.
