First Release of Tickets and show announcements//PIAF Festival 2015//25th (and 28th) August 2014//Madame Butterfly, Rabbits, Giants
While the full PIAF program will be announced in November, on Monday the 25th August there will be a first release of tickets to the 2015 PIAF Season. If past seasons are anything to go on, it would be worth securing your seats to anything with limited performance dates – last year’s theater show You Once Said Yes sold out almost immediately (there were about 200 tickets in total?? i think?). The press release is as follows:
As you read this, the Festival team and I are curating Perth’s 63rd International Arts Festival, my last as Artistic Director.
While the full program will be announced in November, we are so excited that we just had to share these three events with you a little early. It gives you the chance to make plans and secure your seats now!
I am ecstatic to introduce to you: the world premiere of a new Australian opera, an Australian exclusive presentation of Anthony Minghella’s now iconic and Olivier Award-winning foray into operatic theatre, and the biggest free public arts event Australia has ever seen – right here in Perth. Stories of war, romance and colonisation swirl around themes of
honour, love and hope – and that is just a taste of what’s to come.
The 2015 Perth International Arts Festival is going to be both epic and intimate, jam-packed with big ideas, big-name artists and big opportunities for you to get involved. Whether you are in a theatre or on the streets of Perth, we will deliver to you a world-class arts experience at every turn. We are constantly seeking to stretch the boundaries of what an international arts festival can do and 2015 is no exception.
Once again, I invite you to explore something new. We look forward to sharing the full program with you on Wednesday 5 November.
